Computer Chill Zone
We have our own computer chill zone room fitted with Xbox 1, Xbox 360, PS3 & PS4. All our games are age-related and children are supervised at all times by a staff member or volunteer.
Trips & Events
Each year we plan a number of day trips away from the youth group. This gives the children a chance to enjoy being away plus working as a team-building and learning new skills. The youth group also takes part in a number of community events within borough, either to advertise the youth group or to raise funds to support the group.

ABOUT STEP OUT YOUTH GROUP
Step Out Youth Group is for young people. It’s based in South Wigston, which is an area of social deprivation, in the borough of Oadby & Wigston. South Wigston is among one of the most disadvantaged areas in Leicester. The area suffers from anti-social behavior and there is a lack of opportunities for young people to use their recreational time constructively.
Step Out Youth Club aims to offer opportunities to engage young people and encourage them to achieve their maximum potential in their personal and social development. The group was opened in 2015. Step Out welcomes anyone to their Elliott Hall Community and Youth premises from the ages of 8 to 16 years of age. The group is a voluntary sector, the youth group relies on grants and funding pots as well as donations from the trust to continue to run their sessions.
The group is made up of a management committee, part-time youth workers and volunteers. Step Out Youth Group moved in November 2017 to their new base at Elliott Hall, Albion Street, South Wigston, Leicester.
This gave them the chance to offer a larger range of activities for all ages. This includes different crafts, cooking, growing in our community garden, hands-on making, plus indoor and outdoor sports (mainly in the summer on the park for outdoors).
A large computer chill zone and laptops, there is also a fully-stocked tuck shop offer a wide range of snacks and drinks. Indoor activities range from snooker, air hockey, table football, table tennis, badminton, bowling, volleyball, darts, and lots more!!!!
Throughout the year different sports activities are available for periods of four to six weeks at no extra charge such as boxercise, gymnastics to name just a few. Step Out also endeavors to plan evenings/day trips for the group ranging from swimming and skating to a full fun day where the whole family can attend. Step Out works with other organisations to provide activities like Outspoken, Leicestershire Cares.
